The Remington 700 Short Action .308 is one of the most widely used accuracy platforms for Law Enforcement, Military, and Civilian use.
Make sure your rifle will work when needed, so install one of our stronger magazine springs. If a round won't chamber... it can't shoot.
Due to an anomaly in the OEM magazine spring design, in observing how the rounds moved up in the magazine, one could see that the base of the cartridge was ACTUALLY angled down to the rear. This made it possible for the bolt to override the cartridge when closed.
To remedy the problem, we made a magazine spring which was stronger AND which would put upward pressure on the rear of the follower to keep the cartridge properly lined up. This way, when the bolt was closed, it would engage the base and properly chamber the round.
NOTE: Not intended for use with the Remington Short Action in .223 & .243 or the 700 Long Action in any caliber.
